Grow

Grow is our monthly Home Ed session, taking place in the education room, garden and woods at Great Dixter.

Sessions will focus on seasonal activity in the garden and woods and include art, cooking, and science as well as a forest school approach to learning in the woods, with learners developing their own ideas and themes.

Sessions cost £20 for a family with more than one child, £10 for single child families, and include snacks which we make, materials and facilitation by education officer, Catherine. 

April’s session will include a propagation activity. We’ll make some more flatbreads to have with wild garlic again as they are so good- and this will be the last of it- ingredients- SR flour, yogurt and butter to serve.

I think we’ll also have a play with collecting fallen petals from the garden and using them to create casts using plaster of Paris and of course head to the woods for an adventure including lots of free play and wild garlic flatbreads. 

Future sessions are planned for:

13^th May, 17^th June, 15^th July, 19^th August, 23^rd September, 14^th October, 18^th November, 9^th December.
