Are you a strategic senior leader with a background in business development and financial strategy ready to play a vital role in forging the future of The Great Dixter Charitable Trust. If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join the senior team as Business Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours per week including some weekends.

We are looking for a highly skilled and visionary senior leader, with a proven track-record of business and financial management and the creation of robust and innovative financial and operational strategies. Reporting to the CEO, the Business Manager will be entrusted with strategic responsibility and supervising the management of the commercial operations across the Great Dixter Charitable Trust including finance, management information, the shop, and café. The Business Manager must be a good manager of teams in commercial operations. The Business Manager will conduct rigorous analysis of financial data, trends and performance metrics to derive insights and offer recommendations for informed decision making.

Are you ready to play a key role in taking our Loggia Café to the next level. If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join the catering team as Deputy Catering Manager. This is a full-time, one year fixed term contract, 40 hours per week 8am to 5pm Monday to Sunday.

The Deputy Catering Manager will play a key part in supervising the successful running of our Loggia Café and other on-site catering events. From preparing delicious dishes to training and mentoring your colleagues, you’ll uphold our high standards of quality, presentation and dietary restrictions every day. You will bring your own culinary flair to our kitchen, assisting the Catering Manager in developing seasonal and daily specials, while maintaining stock rotation to minimise waste and control costs.

We are recruiting for a seasonal Café Assistant/Chef Assistant to work in our Loggia Café from the start of April until the end of October. Seasonal guides required for conducting house tours at Great Dixter House and Gardens. 

Our team of House Guides work on a rota basis and new guides are required for approximately three hours per week initially, including some weekends. 

You will need to be welcoming & confident enough to talk to a large group. French or German speaking an advantage.
