Grow

Grow is our new monthly Home Ed session, taking place in the education room, garden and woods at Great Dixter.

Sessions will focus on seasonal activity in the garden and woods and include art, cooking, and science as well as a forest school approach to learning in the woods, with learners developing their own ideas and themes.

Sessions cost £20 for a family with more than one child, £10 for single child families, and include snacks which we make, materials and facilitation by education officer, Catherine. 

January’s session will include a propagation activity looking at how to take Hardwood cuttings, exploring the garden in winter and looking for the first signs of spring, a look at winter twigs in the woods, pancake making, den building in the woods and hot chocolate! 

Future sessions are planned for 

4^th Feb ,18^th March, 22^nd April, 13^th May, 17^th June, 15^th July, 19^th August, 23^rd September, 14^th October, 18^th November, 9^th December. 

Please note, children must be accompanied to this group.
