Facilities Manager Required as soon as possible We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at Great Dixter as Facilities Manager, as part of the senior management team. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, including some weekends. The primary responsibility of the role is delivery of the maintenance and preservation programme for Great Dixter House and estate. The role will plan and manage all buildings & facilities works, property security, Health & Safety within the annual budget and lead and manage any building, conservation or development projects. The Facilities Manager has the support of the Property Services Team and the Estate team and part of the role will be to nurture, support and develop these team members and ensure they are effective in their roles and support the wider objectives of Great Dixter. The role also has responsibility to lead on sustainability across the site, create a strategy to improve the sustainability of all activities at Great Dixter and support Fergus Garrett enhance biodiversity. Our team of House Guides work on a rota basis and new guides are required for approximately three hours per week initially including some weekends. You will need to be welcoming & confident enough to talk to a large group. French or German speaking an advantage.
